Beer Kits

Our beer kits are designed to get you started making beer with simple but effective equipment and the best ingredients available. To start making beer with our kits you need only make two simple choices: which of our 4 kits is for you and the kind of beer you would like to make. (See pages 3, 4 and 5 for recipe choices.) It’s that simple. Of course you may add extras, but you can get started with any of our basic kits and add on later. We provide complete instructions for your first beer. Your first beer should take 1-1½ hours to brew up, another 1½ hours when you bottle 10 days later, and a 2 week wait till you open your first bottle. It takes just 3 weeks to be drinking your first beer. And with our fine ingredients, clear instructions and proven methods your first beer will be a good beer! Look at the kits below and then choose your first beer from the recipes with an asterisk.

Four available Beer Kits

  • Single-Stage Plastic Starter
  • 2-Stage Glass Starter
  • Deluxe Kit
  • Ultimate Brewing Kit

If you are interested in making your own beer, one of our starter kits is right for you. We have used these ingredients and supplies ourselves and have made the kits so they are easy to use and produce quality beers. You will notice that our kits contain a set of ingredients so you can begin making your first 5 gallons of beer immediately. We don’t price our kits without a set of ingredients. That would be like buying a car without an engine.

2-Stage Glass Starter Kit – includes ingredients $105.00

Our 2-Stage Glass kit adds a 5 gallon glass carboy to the plastic fermenter, which allows for more precise control of fermentation. Glass is superior to plastic because it is easier to see through, is more airtight, and is much easier to sterilize. It doesn’t develop scratches over time and should last a lifetime unless damaged. It is also more fun to use since you can see what is going on throughout the fermentation of the beer. We’ve also added a hydrometer and thermometer strip so fermentation can be more easily monitored and controlled.

Deluxe Beer Kit, includes ingredients - $155

Our Deluxe Kit substitutes a 6 gallon glass carboy for the plastic fermenter in order to make the equipment even easier to use. It gives you the ultimate in 2-stage brewing. In 2-stage brewing you ferment in one container then transfer the beer to another glass container where it sits for several weeks while it finishes fermentation, clears, and becomes smoother. Then we add extra equipment to make the brewing process easier and more controlled. The AutoSiphon will make siphoning much easier, and the other gadgets will add convenience as you brew and search for the best beer in your world.

Contains:

Everything in the 2-Stage Starter Kit except the Plastic bucket, plus the following:
6 gallon glass carboy
1 additional fermentation lock
AutoSiphon
Blow-off tubing
Bottle filler
Carboy brush
Funnel
Test jar

Ultimate Beer Kit, includes ingredients - $375

When you’re ready for the ultimate in homebrewing convenience you’ll want to make your beer and transfer it into a 5 gallon stainless brewing keg. No bottling! No fuss! No mess! It takes around 30 minutes to sterilize your keg, siphon in the beer, attach the CO2 cylinder, and get ready to drink. You can force carbonate it so you can begin drinking immediately, or within 1 or 2 days, rather than waiting 10 days for bottle conditioned beer. It almost seems too easy. And you won’t be washing all those bottles!

Contains:

Includes everything in the Deluxe Kit except the bottling equipment plus the following:
5 gallon keg system, used but in good shape
5 lb CO2 cylinder

* There will be an additional $30.00 shipping added when you order
